Preaching / Pastoral Ministry
In accordance to God’s Divine plan, He provides for His churches pastor-teachers. These men are ordained of the Lord for the “Perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ”. (Ephesians 4:12) According Our Savior’s plan and purpose for Calvary Baptist Church at this time, He has now placed Pastor Michael Jeremiah to fulfill that ministry. By God’s Grace, it is our desire to work together with our pastor, to attain the maturity and unity described in the Scripture
Soul Winning / Visitation Ministry
The command of the “Great Commission” (Matthew 28:18-20) is to go make disciples of all nations. In obedience to our Lord’s command, we seek to make soul winning the priority in our ministry. We believe the Lord has left the church on earth to glorify Him through faithful preaching of the gospel, to reach the lost and disciple the saved who in turn will go and win others to Christ.
Prayer Ministry
Every Wednesday at 7:30 pm we conduct a bible study and prayer meeting for all. Part of the time is taken up in Bible study and the other part in prayer. All are encouraged to participate in a season of prayer either individually or with a prayer partner. Visitors will not be asked to pray publicly. “And He spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint” (Luke 18:1)
Sunday School Ministry
This is the discipleship, teaching arm of our ministry. There is a class for every one. Why not join us this Sunday for Sunday School.

Music Ministry
At Calvary Baptist we encourage sound gospel music. We strive to ensure that the standards of the world do not influence our music ministry. Consequently, we reject all forms of rock, rap, reggae and calypso music from entering our worship services. We believe in promoting music that glorifies God and such that fits the category of Psalms, hymns or spiritual songs. (Colassians 3:16) The traditional hymns, accompanied by piano music, are still much a part of our worship and evangelistic services.
Youth Ministry
Every first and third Friday evening of the month, at 6:30 our teens gather for bible study and fun filled indoor or outdoor games. With our fellowship hall and yard, the teens have lots space for these fellowships. A volleyball or basketball game is sometimes held to provide teens with an opportunity for some physical exercise. If you are a teen or the parent of teens we will be glad to be a blessing to you in this regard. Please feel free to contact our Teen Leaders, Carl and GeorgiAnn Morgan.
Ushers Ministry
A warm welcome awaits you when you visit Calvary Baptist Church. Our ushers will ensure that you are greeted cheerfully and seated comfortably. They will give you a visitor’s card which you will be asked to complete and return to them. It is always a great blessing to have guests visit and revisit our church. Due to the present multicultural nature of Cayman Island’s society, our church now has over fifteen different nationalities represented. Regardless of where you might call home, Calvary can be your home away from home.
Follow Up Ministry
Consistently keeping in touch with visitors, new converts and those desiring membership at Calvary, is now a growing ministry of our church. Our purpose is to provide spiritual help and guidance to those whom the Lord permits us to minister to. Please don’t be surprised if one of the members of our follow-up team contacts you by phone or during our time of neighborhood visitations. Indeed, all our members are encouraged to participate in this vital ministry of connecting others to our church family.
Hospitality Ministry
Over the last few years, a special team of ladies have taken this ministry to a level of excellence that truly reflects their desire to do their best for the Lord. Whether it is a banquet, special service or simple social events, these ladies have ensured that all the decorations, food and accommodations are tip top. Yes, we still believe it is okay to celebrate with excellence and in a manner that pleases our Lord. Please stay in touch for details and dates of our annual Valentine Banquets, Family Life Seminars, Mission’s Conference, Sunday School Fair, Anniversary Service, International Nights, Revival Services etc. These and other events give our Hospitality team an opportunity to truly bless our guests.
Bus Ministry
Currently we have one church bus that provides free transportation to and from our Sunday morning service. If you reside in the West Bay or George Town area and need a ride to church, please call 949 0629 so we can arrange for you to get to Church. In addition, there are two faithful members who use their buses to pick up and drop off as well. Some members also use their cars or minivans to help get others to church.
Outreach Ministry
In (Acts 1:8) the scripture teaches that when the power of the Holy Spirit comes upon the church, Spirit filled members are witnesses unto Christ both at home and abroad. As we seek to reach foreign nations through our support of missionaries, the Lord expects us to reach our “Jerusalem” with the message of the cross. Our outreach ministry is now mostly involved in weekly visitations in our neighborhood, sharing the gospel, and passing out gospel literature. In coming months and years, our desire is to expand this outreach to ensure greater involvement in meeting needs in our community and planting churches in other district of Grand Cayman.
Our Missions Ministry
At Calvary, we believe that the heartbeat of God is missions, reaching lost men and women, boys and girls with the message of salvation. With twenty families in eighteen different countries around the world we still have much to do in this great harvest field ripening with the souls of lost mankind. Help us pray that we will do more each year to see others come to the Savior.
Singles Ministry
Every Friday evening at 7 P.M. we have a young singles group. This is a group for young people looking for a ministry for them, a place to meet people and spend time together doing activities and looking at God’s Word. Every week we have either an event that can start from the church or another venue or a Bible study time at the church to help us grow together and with God. If you are single and in your 20s or 30s, come on out and have a good time of fellowship and fun with us.
