Pastor Michael Jeremiah
Pastor Michael Jeremiah is a native of Grenada who was saved at the age of seventeen. About a year following his conversion, he sensed the Lord’s call on his life to preach and surrendered to ministry wherever the Lord would lead.
In 1993 Pastor Jeremiah graduated from Florida Baptist College (now Emmaus Baptist College) with a BA degree in Pastoral Arts. In November of that same year, he married Carla Bennett, a graduate of Clearwater Christian College, and shortly after they began serving at Calvary Baptist Church under the ministry of founding Missionary, Pastor Bob Vradenburg. Between 1994–1997, Bro. Jeremiah served as Interim Pastor of Calvary Baptist when Pastor Bob had to temporarily relocate to the United States due to the unexpected illness of Mrs. Vradenburg.
The Jeremiahs later served as missionaries in Grenada for approximately nine years where the Lord used them to found the Solid Rock Baptist Church.
After sensing the Lord’s call to return to the Cayman Islands, Pastor and Mrs. Jeremiah along with their three children, relocated to the Cayman Islands in 2008 and in June 2009, Calvary Baptist called Pastor Jeremiah to be their first national pastor. July 2022 marks 13 years for Pastor Jeremiah in the current pastorate.
